How to Upgrade your basics for 2017

The Less-is-more rule encourages designers to not only look for new ideas and push the shapes and styles further but to also revisite what we know best in fashion: THE BASICS. 

1. THE SHIRT:

A black shirt, a white shirt, a grey shirt, they all sound so boring in 2017. So it's been decided that Rock and Corky are back. it seems that designer are getting quite nostalgic about their childhood. The white shirt of today is an embelished-Disney-like one .

 The black shirt of tomorrow is the one we wore in the seventies. does "guns-and-roses" ring a bell?

2. The SHIRT:

This year is all about embelishments. the flowers are back with the fluffiness and the puffiness and the cute details on the bottons and the collar.

 

Fitted shirts are also OVER. This year, we want them Foxy, we want them Boxy and we want them now!

Hey Dad! do you have a boxy shirt to lend me? i'm going out!

3. THE PANTS

 We can all say goodbye to our extra slim extra stretchy extra low-waisted bottoms! this year is all about comfort! mom jeans, baggy jeans, jogging-pants, flare-pants, cropped pants, culottes. they've noticed we've suffered enough!

4. THE TRENCH COAT: 

the Burburry traditional kamel trench coat is not the trendiest piece you have in your wardrobe. it's been decided that unless it's long, lean, oversized and pink, you are  sooo behind on your fashion-homework. 

5. The Biker jacket: 

you may take a seat for this one darling... black was so overrated for so many years that designers decided they're going to cut the cord for now. biker jackets should be glittery gold, metallic, pink, blue, brown. As long as it's  black, and you're not called Gigi Hadid, you will be on fashion police tonight! 

6. THE PENCIL SKIRT:

pencil skirt no more! the new pencil skirt is the accordeon mid-length skirt. if you already tried it and you look like a sac of potatoe, don't be sad, just put that Michael Jackson song "you are not alone, i'm here with you" and wait until the trend goes off. i'll be praying for it on my side of the world. (sob)

7. THE LITLLE BLACK DRESS: 

The black dress isn't that little anymore, it has to be extra long and so oversized that you could make love under it with your boyfriend. Talking about confortable...
